Best FILM Actors

Favourite Film actor

While I don't have a favourite per-se, after watching an early Bill Murray film the other night on Sky I have to say he is a fantastic actor. I love John Candy as well, Planes, Trains and Automobiles is brilliant, RIP my friend.

Missing from the list, Al Pacino & Tim Robbins. Both brilliant actors.

Pacino obviously for Godfather & his Oscar winner, Scent Of A Woman. Better than De Niro. Robbins just for Shawshank!

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Jack Nicholson yet. His performance in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is one of the best bits of acting ever.

Also, agree with Bill Murray. Them two for me for sure.

Bill Murray for me.
Lost In Translation is total genius (OK, a good script & great directing) but would be half the film it is without Murray.

Same for Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters with an honourable mention for CaddyShack!

Now ok, Murray is a good actor, can't argue with that, but he's not in the same league as De Niro - only Pacino comes anywhere as near.

Travis Bickle / Jake La Motta / Vito Corleone / Michael Vronsky / Rupert Pupkin .... come on, some of the best films EVER!

True, but I'm not following the sheep on this one!
Plus de Niro has also made some absolute howlers of films (and has a minimal range in terms of delivery).......

I doubt there isn't a single actor that HASN'T made a howler or two in their career....
It's not about sheep - if you were to ask any of the actors on that list who is the best ever, they'd vote for De Niro!
