For me it has to be Chow Mein although I haven't tried some of the newer flavours.

I am a big fan of instant noodles, especially the cheap ones from Chinese Supermarkets where you have to guess the flavour from the picture on the front and those ones that come in flying saucer shape plastic bowls.

Every now and again I love a pot noodle, haha. I have honestly tried probably all the flavours. They even did a limited edition Christmas dinner one:stunned: But my favourite flavour is the Beef & Tomato one.

A colleague of mine was talking to a customer on the phone one day, it was a customer he knew quite well through business, not mates or anything. Anyway, to conclude the call in a friendly fashion my colleague asked this chap if he had anything nice planned for that particular evening. "Not really" he said, "just a Pot Noodle and a **** I think". Never been able to eat one since...

Always used to like the chicken and mushroom, but, again, not had one for yonks.

Out of interest, here's the ingredients of the Chicken and Mushroom one:

Noodles: Noodles (51%) [WHEAT flour, palm fat, salt, firming agents (potassium carbonate, sodium carbonate)]. Sauce and Vegetables: Water, maltodextrin, WHEAT flour, vegetables (2.7%) [mushrooms (1.5%), sweetcorn, onion powder], potassium chloride, flavour enhancers (monosodium glutamate, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate), flavourings (contain WHEAT, MILK), sugar, skimmed MILK powder, palm fat, salt, yeast powder (contains WHEAT, BARLEY), herbs, acid (citric acid), mushroom juice concentrate, colour (curcumin). Sachet: Soy sauce (1.3%) [water, soy sauce (SOYBEANS, WHEAT), salt, molasses, sugar, acid (acetic acid)]. May contain egg, celery and mustard.

Interestingly no meat at all. In fact, I believe they are all vegetarian...

When we went to Grimsby, the year we missed out on automatics, about 12 of us went into the first Pub outside Cleethorpes station. Have you got any food we asked? The grim landlady pointed to a shelf full of pot noodles. Anything else we asked, she shook her head.

We went hungry.

I had a Sticky Rib flavour Pot Noodle before I went mountain biking last night and it was bang on.
