Bit of a pointless exercise then unless they are hoping to do deals with all the other partners in FF.
My understanding, from the horses mouth is. FF can only be bought on a forward planning purchase at a heavily discounted rate. Because RM has to build FF under the terms of the development allowing him to build the homes.

This would have been obvious from the very beginning though? Plus, although FF has to be built in order to build the houses Ron wants to change the plans to squeeze more of his flats into the development. Buyers will say ‘we want the original and larger stadium as per existing plans’, Ron says ‘im going to build it smaller and have some flats’. Maybe the buyers say ‘sure, fine if you can get permission (political winds are changing) but in that case we want some of the flats too’. Ron says’ no, sorry you just get the smaller stadium but you can have it at cost price’. The big issue is the purchase of a stadium that hasn’t been built yet and to plans that have not been approved and the person who is building it, who you probably don’t trust. This was always going to be difficult.

RM wants to squeeze flats into the stadium to balance the books. Since planning was awarded the cost of development and building has sky rocketed.

Considering he HAS to sell the stadium at a hugely discounted rate. To get the full development done, it makes commercial sense for the development but certainly not sense for us the fans?

It makes commercial sense but he has no planning permission for the flats, despite having had ages to do this. So he is selling a stadium development that he doesn’t even have permission for effectively.

This is it. There is also an inherent problem with buying a future stadium from somebody which they say is an "opportunity", but having to be slave to their plans for it. If the plans for the stadium and the surrounding area contain or lack a few things which inhibit the buyer's ability to make money for themselves and for the club in the future and the seller won't budge on it, then you have a problem.

It all circles back again to whether the best interests and future prosperity of the football club have truly been taken into account in the plans. Has every conceivable non-matchday income stream been taken into consideration when planning the stadium and surrounding infrastructure?

Probably not, because the Martins have only ever seen it as an enabling development for their housing empire, and haven't thought outside the box about or properly planned for the wide variety of possibilities that the football club could generate non-matchday income from.

Or have, but have willfully ignored them.

Tell you what Ron why don’t you do away with dressing rooms altogether, that way you can have a couple more studio flats; the players can just get changed in their cars…😬

Git!
