Was not a fan of him or his politics but its tragic he has passed away so young.

Bob Crow put all those plastic socialists to shame in the Labour party, want a man to fight your corner for more pay and better working conditions,mr Crow was your man RIP.

Thanks.That makes sense.

My late father, who grew up in the East End between the wars, never had any time for Millwall or their fans.

The term 'toerag' derives from Millwall. The dockers there were generally not the most charming sorts and, before the days of steel-capped boots, wore rags over their feet to protect their toes from falling crates and suchlike. Hence 'toerag' became a term of use for someone you wouldn't necessarily trust with your life.

RMT Union Leader, Bob Crow, has died.

His family have requested no questions from the press at this sad time, plus 2 additional days off at Christmas, a two hour reduction in the working week, double time on Friday afternoons, free health care, increased pensions and a minimum of two hour paid lunch breaks.

It would be easy to celebrate his passing but as he never really achieved anything other than threaten strikes and try and cause disruption to millions whilst sitting back enjoying his 145 grand a year salary, I don't suppose many will notice him gone.

Feel sorry for his folks, its always sad to lose a family member especially at this relatively young age. Luckily he probably has a big fat private pension to soften the blow so they can carry on living in his 3 bedroom council house.
The volume of his pay does seem high but people seem to be more offended when a working class job is highly paid.
in terms of where he lived - plenty of people who make money get slated for moving to Primrose Hill and ditching their roots. He carried on living around the same people despite becoming a high earner - I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing.

Christ, that could be any back bencher in the commons apart from the lunch break deal, thats 4 hours.

Tony Benn has died this morning, one of only a few Labour politicians I genuinely admired.
