What I like is the he really wants the job- he took the 6 game challenge where others maybe would with no guarantees, and he wants to be here.

I think he will give everything to make it work and take his chance- others I think would have seen it just as a route somewhere else

Personally a lot less excited than I was about our last managerial appointment but then again we all know how that panned out.

I guess that it feels a bit 'meh' but we saw both good and bad from Bond... he could get the team motivated at times and we did play some decent football... but then on the other hand we really got bogged down by some poor teams, and his team selection against Rochdale was pretty terrible.

He has contacts in the game which should help with signings and acquisitions, and he already knows the squad which gives him a good head start into a busy off-season compared to bringing someone else in.

So let's see how we get on with contracts and signings and hopefully we can start the season positively - he's got a good track record in the game even if it's not as a first team manager, so I think we should be fairly positive on the whole.
