Boss leaves National League club after victory against Shrimpers

Blimey, Gateshead have been through the ringer just a tad.

Third lowest attended team in the division punching well above it's weight. Go on a brilliant run under the helm of Mike Williamson, get to FA trophy final at Wembley but lose to Halifax. Thats okay, they have promotion to focus on...no way Jose! Stadium lease problems ban them from the play offs. Try to recoup to go again but Mr Williamson gets snatched by MK Dons. Find a way to keep momentum once again under Rob, only to now lose him as well.

There's being left with a bloody nose but then there's having a nose like Danniella Westbrooks.

Oops. Just noticed they actually won the FA trophy last year at the second attempt. Those Harley Street plastic surgeons can work wonders on noses.

Not to forget they lost Greg Olley to that horror injury, as well as Ed Francis and Marcus Dinanga in the summer. It's quite easy to forget they only got promoted not too long ago. It's quite hard not to root for them, play arguably the best football in the league. Seem to be very sensibly run, wouldn't be surprised to see them make another smart move and be in with a shout this year still.
