On a point of order, Bob Crewe was the lyricist on most of the Four Seasons songs, Gaudio wrote the music and only part contributed to the lyrics as I understand it.

A lot of it was jointly collaborated with Crew, but not the stuff in the 70s, which includes their biggest hit in the UK - December 63. Maybe I should have entered them as a duo!

Which has actually made me think of the famous Chinn/Chapman duo - and surprised they've not been mentioned?

I'm pretty sure the lyrics for 'December 1963 were written by Gaudio's future wife Judy Parker, same as 'Silver Star' and 'Who loves you'. I'm not knocking Gaudio by the way, I love the album he wrote for Sinatra, along with Jake Holmes, 'Watertown' which was a flop commercially but stands up well nearly fifty years on.
