Bowers & Pitsea FC travel to Kidlington FC in the Replay of the FA Vase Quarter Final which ended up 3-3 at Bowers Len Salmon Stadium Pitsea.
Only 6 Essex Clubs have reached this far in this competition, anyone who want to see if a little Essex team can cause an upset in Oxfordshire there is a coach leaving Bowers ground this Saturday. Details on their website or pm me here if interested.

They won and are through to the semis, good luck Bowers & Pitsea!

Massive result away from home and now face a two legged semi final for a place at Wembley, goodluck bowers and pitsea:thumbsup:

Well Done Bowers. The Essex Senior League side were just outstanding. An early goal from Jamie Stevens shook Kidlington and soon were on a receiving end of an onslaught of attack after attack. Kidlington were lucky to be just 1-0 down at half time.
Second half and a beefed up home side got physical, the tactics obviously was to go at Bowers, that lasted about 2 minutes when one of their players was shown a straight red. Bowers with thanks to the weather this week ( our games were called off) showed what they are about with goals from Luke Wilson header, Jamie Salmon and Ross Adams killed the tie. A crowd of 400 plus went home to watch the TV.
Bowers Celebrated and it was one of the noisiest Trips home but all good humoured but, BUT What a day.
Next they face Morpeth Town in a two legged semi final. Home leg is March the 12-3-16 { We're away to Barnsley) then the big one up NORTH! the following week, we're at home to Gillingham.

Not that im planning ahead or anything, but whens the final??

Have followed the FA Vase run closely and with interest. Have now been to the last 2 Bowers league games (Basildon and Manor at Wakering on Saturday) and am loving it. Will be at the Clapton game tomorrow wherever it's played and the Vase home leg this Saturday. Thoroughly enjoying following my local non league side, there's something wonderful about that level of football, some right characters on the pitch! Good to be contributing to local sides takings as well, match entry and 6 pints for £24 at Basildon on Thursday, happy days!

Up The Bowers!

yep I am more than likely to go on Saturday as well, should be a good crowd:smile:

Hopefully will be a very good crowd, possibly 500+

This run and the potential Wembley final will do wonders for the club and their coffers, with so many league games in hand fingers crossed Bowers can get promoted. Whatever happens, the cup run is brilliant and will only enhance their reputation and hopefully attract more support from the local areas.

Jamie Stevens or James Stevens? Pretty sure it was James Stevens who once played for us and played in my sunday side. Top lad, doesn't move but he can strike a football!

Yeah it is THE James Stevens who started one game up at Stockport. With the ball at his feet you can tell he has ability, as you say very immobile though. Lost his way a bit since leaving Southend clearly. Put on a lot of weight.

Just to let you no the game has been switched to concord rangers ground due to bowers being waterlogged and not playable, makes sense as the pitch at concord is still in great shape:thumbsup:

I guess there's a reason, but would have been great if they could have played it at Roots Hall tomorrow.
