So here we are the ninth and this season’s final away game of Chris Powell's return and time in charge at the Mighty Shrimpers against Bradford City.

It is now time for ALL of us to get behind him and the team whether you are at Northern Commercials Stadium, listening on the radio, or watching on ifollow.

Chris Powell's 9th Southend United Away Team.

Oxley, Demetriou, White (C), Kyprianou, Bwomono, Yearwood, Mantom, McLaughlin, Cox, Fortune, Robinson

Subs: Bishop, Mitchell-Nelson, Kightly, McGlashan, Gard, Ladapo, Harrison

That pitch looks alot worse than Roots Hall.

Chris Powell’s current away record after 8 games

Won 2
Drawn 3
Lost 3
Goals scored 5
Goals conceded 8

It is.

A client of mine is a season ticket holder there and says the pitch has been dreadful for months.

Bradford City unchanged.

Apparently the fella upfront for them - Brunker - is a bit of a cult hero on account of the fact that he can't score. It's a bit of a running joke with the fans who keep willing him to shoot, just to see if he can hit the net!

Bet he scores today!

Mantom starting again, do we have an agreement in principle to sign him for next season?

Heard him being quoted that he likes it here...

No issue with the change in formation from me. It's the perfect time to test things and see what works. We can't play 4-4-2 all the time.
