Well apparently Roy Hodgson wasn’t even born since the last time Brentford were in the top flight they said on tv so not sure what year that was.

I heard 76 on C4 news yesterday but I'm quite willing to take your word for it.

"They last sealed promotion to the top flight in 1935 and stayed there for 12 years before dropping out for good in 1947."

Ha! =74! BTW I used to be an English teacher .This was my way of saying to RHB that he was right when I'd previously heard (or misheard)on C4 news that Brentford hadn't been in the top flight for 76 years.
