Brexit negotiations thread

What has the EDL or fake news have to do with my post. Another example of your Straw man tactics when you have no answers
You: By the way its the left who like to smash things and need a riot shield in the face.
Reality: street violence in recent years has predominantly come from the far right associations of Tommy Robinson.

Have you never heard of the EDL?

Apparently counter terrorism costs are currently as high for far right extremists as they are for Islamists. The murder of Jo Cox has been followed by murder plots against Sadiq Khan and Jeremy Corbyn.

Murder plots, Strong words, any evidence to present or was this just some throbber on social media?

Hardly Guido Fawkes is it?
Type of rubbish you see every hour of every day on Twitter from all types, left and right.
****ing hell!!
Plots to murder MPs uncovered by the police and used as evidence in court and you brush it off despite the fact that 2 years ago one of these psychos actually murdered an MP.
You might want to reconsider your nonchalance towards that.

I read it and he's talking bollocks.

Remainers cling to the pretence that the referendum was not sensible and, by some device, can be reversed. It cannot.

It was (probably) illegal and it can.

It wasn't illegal. His point is not that it isn't technically possible to reverse the result with a further vote, it is that if you think doing that would magically end all disagreement around the UK's relationship with the EU then you are frighteningly naive and deluded.

Oh I know it won't end the disagreements, they've never ending since the mid 70s when we joined the Common Market, but it will do is stop the country from diving into an abyss where it might not recover for 20+ years.

And I have to disagree, it was corrupt.

MK, the vote was NOT corrupt. It was legislated for, administered on referendum day in line with international standards and nobody questions the accuracy of vote tallies. That is manifestly not an illegal process.

If you disagree with some of the campaigning that is one that but it does not make the vote illegal.

How much the various leave campaigns been fined for overspending?

That DOES NOT MAKE THE VOTE ILLEGAL.... blimey MK, please stop conflating different things!

Illegality, if it happens, by one person or locally does not invalidate an entire national vote or make that vote illegal unless the vote itself was unconstitutionally held; held in an atmosphere of physical violence and intimidation at polling stations and/or ballot boxes were stuffed. None of those things happened.

Your criticism is that you think some people advocating for the outcome which the vote produced had spent a bit too much to pay for their advertising space? :Takethat::Takethat:
