MP Michael Gove was branded a racist yesterday after he slammed a hospital for hiring Caribbean nurses.

The MP said Caribbean nurses taken on because of staff shortages may "never have met a white person before, let alone touched one".

And he added: "The hospital should have taken on Scandanavian staff - they know the language, British culture and institutions.

"The Caribbean nurses are basically here to improve their English and are unlikely to give the Health Service a lifetime's commitment."

You wouldn’t consider that to be slightly prejudiced at all?

This is quite an interesting one, ratcheting up the pressure by Barnier. in brief 1) You won't stop crashing out of the EU at the end of March, even if MP's vote for it. 2) No point May coming back to Brussels to change backstop...........it won't happen. 3) The best way forward is for May to soften her red lines (e.g. customs union)

It is very revealing and maybe not coincidental how this irrational almost pathological hatred of Abbott has become more intense as Brexiteers feel their cherished and illusory goal may be slipping from their grasp.

Because she apparently supports Labours position on Brexit and she's a racist car crash of a politician, and more to the point should Labour actually succeed in derailing Brexit, getting the GE they want she would, God forbid, be the next Home Secretary.
