Great news, my patriotic friends!

The great Brexit gamble is set to create 30,000 British jobs for British* people!

The EU have only 24,000 of these jobs currently so that's one in the eye for Juncker and his cronies.

These jobs are set to come about in the civil service to implement the government's plan** so will not just provide secure employment for 30,000 but also will mean they have pensions and security in their old age!

If only Leave had campaigned with "30,000 more jobs if we Leave" on the side of the bus the win could have been even more convincing than the 51.8%-48.2% overwhelming victory achieved.

*Unfortunately they won't all be British as we lack the necessary skills so we'll have to import them in
**Oops. Apparently our government doesn't have one.

Oh FFS.....stop whining.

I'm not whining.

Accept what's happened

Not a lot, other than an advisory vote.

, move on with your life

My life goes on, my job moves on (as it will include clearing up the mess).

and stop being angry all the time.

I'm not angry.

Life's too short

Not true as if you voted Leave you'll have statistically already lived a substantial period of time. Admittedly you won't have as long left as a Remainer though....:winking:

Who could have predicted that a massive **** up was on the cards?

Thick fog in the English channel Europe cut off from UK.

Personally I think Yorkie has every right to be angry, as a remain voter, every apocalypse that he was promised would happen, should Leave have won ....has so far failed to materialise.

Not only that he is sorting out all the mess we leavers have created on his own, and with companies like google investing 1 billion in addition to Apples 9 billion pound project investment there is much to do.

What Yorkie needs at this moment in time is encouragement, not the tissue of lies that Deloitte came out with....promising 30,000 co workers to assist him sorting out Brexit.

I'm not whining.

Believe me it sounds like you are

Not a lot, other than an advisory vote.

You know what I meant, nice try though

My life goes on, my job moves on (as it will include clearing up the mess).

Be thankful of the work. Thousands up and down the country haven't got that luxury.

I'm not angry.

Again, you're constant banging of the same drum suggests otherwise

It's not the amount of time you've lived or have left. It's what you've done with already and what you do with what's left that matters

On another note. It would seem Google are quite happy with the prospects of the UK. Just saying like ;) .....

You don't really believe that myth. Often wheeled out for the NHS because it has become such an unattractive career for so many, top of the list being pay. Yes we have trouble retaining nurses because for years they have left for better paid jobs overseas or left the profession all together.

Anyway glad you work for one of the industries that is protected by the status quo, years of institutional racism and sexism. It allows you to sneer down at any of those 'little Englanders' driving white vans or working on building sites.

What does that last paragraph mean?

Of course they are. They were getting cushty deals from the government even before Brexit. Heaven knows what they'll be able to negotiate a la Nissan.

And as I've said before. They and many many more were getting cushty deals long before Brexit was even and idea. Nothing has changed and nothing will. This great country of ours will continue to be one of the most prosperous on the planet. We'll go on being the financial hub it's been for many many years. We'll go on shining the intellectual and scientific beacon for generations to come. The worlds leading lights in their field will continue to come here to study and progress their careers. I could go on. There are so many things this country should quite rightly be proud of and continue to be proud of as we go forward and thrive outside of the shackles of the burgeoning European Superstate whilst continuing to be a major trading partner of those still inside and now, finally, able to broaden those trading skills much further afield. This is of course just my own personal opinion derived from personal experience and weeks of pre Referendum research. No amount of Guardian links, BBC news links, anecdotes from 'those in the know' or insults will make me think and believe otherwise.

Smile, soon be Christmas and the start of a whole new year of your lives. Live it :D

this is the thing, because the government are being so secretive we have no idea what deals have been cut for companies to invest or to stick around. Google spokesman also quoted in Metro as saying they and other tech firms would be tempted to withdraw UK investment if UK opted out of free movement of migrant workers. Makes me wonder what reassurances they have had on that.

Yep, we don't gain anything as a country from the amount of stuff they provide to the public such as e-mail accounts, online storage, interactive maps and other innovative online inventions...... Shame we have to pay for it.... Oh, wait, we don't!

You should also research what Google provides to our schools at no cost as well in terms of educational content and knowledge.... All for the cost of..... zero.

Starbucks I can agree on, I think we're a little harsh on Google considering what they have done for humanity.....

Only because they don't believe what you want will come about.

Sundar Pichai, the chief executive of Google, told the BBC that the UK was still an attractive place to do business.

He said open borders and free movement for skilled migrants were "absolutely" important to the success of the technology sector in the UK.

It was Mr Pichai's first European broadcast interview since he became chief executive last year.

Sources at the technology company also said if barriers were thrown up to skilled immigration following the vote to leave the European Union, some of Google's investment could be at risk.

It's not a myth.

The country doesn't have 30,000 people ready to step into these specialised jobs. A substantial chunk of these will need to come from abroad, unless we delay Brexit further to train them up.

You have no idea about my line of work or the industry I work in but for the record my colleagues come from all over the world and are there on merit regardless of race, nationality or gender and my office is anything but racist or sexist.
