Has our form coincided with the arrival of Horton in and around the squad, it's known he is harsh and ruthless in an old skool Northern manner.

Now I'm not blaming him but I am wondering what is his actual contribution and I assume he is paid a pretty penny along with handsome expenses whilst staying down. Could this wage and expenses not amount to the cost of another player, two or maybe three?

I've been a blue all my life, and been through lots with this club, but this seems right now the worst ... My team is soulless , leaderless and lost ... And crying out for a direction.... Thanks mr brown , mr Horton and all concern in this monumental **** up of a situation.

We old fogies have seen this many times before over donkey's years.....crises have come and gone and, like a steamroller this great club of ours chugs on. All it needs is a couple of decent results and we will all forget our woes. Have faith, it can only get better. COYBB

Its dire but nowhere near as bad as when Alvin martin or wignall were in charge and we flirted with non league.

Dick Bate, Alvin Martin, Rob Newman, Alan Little, Wignall, take your pick out of these rough times and the end of Tillys tenure, all surely worse than now. Oh and I forgot Bobby Moore with the Anton Johnson era.
I admit it doesnt look good at the moment but thats why we are Shrimpers and become pessimists. :dim:

Bring back Dick Bate, Mark.

I have never liked him since he was capt of Port Vale when they drew with Southend 3-3 after Southend were leading 3-0 at halftime .

but those teams didn't have the apparent talent we currently have ...that's the frustration....

A) I remember that Port Vale game in the mid-70's. They wore an unusual (for the time) shirt of white with think black & white stripes on the sleeves.
B) Whatever Mr Horton does - it has coincided with some dreadful results. It ain't working and that is for certain.

Lovely fella is Brian, I met him in the Roslin earlier this year as he was tucking into a braised lobster thermidor dinner washed down with a nice vintage Romanee Conti.

Anyway, during matches he sits in the Directors Box with his wife and is linked up by headpiece to G.C. in the dugout, where he reports from the higher vantage point. Either that or the headpiece is just a radio and he's listening to Radio 4 instead.
