So the news and Sports channels are going into meltdown as they always do after any kind of tub-thumping victory. As an only occasional fan of egg running, I'm all over the kudos and looking around me for any Australians to rub it in with, but it does all seem a little over-the-top. To any of you Rugby followers, how big IS this win in the context of the game? Historic or just pretty decent?

Quality result, love the sight of all the lions fans celebrating. The rugby players show more pride than England international footballers

I've never been bothered by Lions series in the past but living here it was easier to get caught up with the buzz around it. Part of that is it's always good as an ex-pat Pom to have a gloat at the Aussies, but I genuinely enjoyed the games too. Best thing for me though was being in Brisbane the day of the first test and seeing the sea of red which took over the city. The Aussies love their sport but they just don't do support like we do and that showed in this series and will do at the Ashes too.

To Rugby fans though I think the Lions are a huge deal, including the opposition fans who love the chance to take them on every 12 years. I get the feeling talking to real Rugby freaks here that to them this is bigger than a World Cup.
