Echo News Brooklyn Kabongolo on his new striking role for Southend United

Nothing ventured nothing gained. He’s a big old lump and could be a right handful. Have to say, he put his header away like a true CF Saturday and could have had a second. So yes why not give him a go.

Isn’t this how Chris Sutton at Blackburn ended up playing up front? I’m sure he was originally a defender
How Chris Sutton gets paid for his football opinion is an oddity.
He royally fecked Lincoln in his v short and only manager role time with them; and left a whole heap of crap and no money for Tilly to pick the bones over AND to also get the blame for their situation.
Bloke is not a good pundit either.

Don't think he be able to even be on the bench. Knee is an ongoing issue and has been for a little while. Injections would potentially enable a 50\50 chance but need to be done almost a week before trying to train and he hasn't been ttaining.

Brooklyn has strength, size and is fairly quick. And very good in the air. He could make a very decent front man- but then he likely will make an even more decent CB. Who knows, Kev and co. will know very well the path he needs to go down.

For now if Harry is not fit I would absolutely go for Brooklyn up top. By far less disruptive and a more direct goal threat. We shall see..

Brooklyn done well but I was more disappointed with failing to repeat a decent ball in to him after he scored , reverting to many passes out wide and also trying to work a clear opening on the edge of box where both Coker woods and Husin need to start having an early strike at goal ..they are capable !

Personally think he should have started up there last week. Didn't think we should have changed the whole defence around (keep Ralph at CB and Bridge at RWB - look much better that way)
Agree, Brooklyn will cause a bit of Panic in the other Penalty Area. :Goal::Footballer::LoyalSupporter:
