Penney left ages ago, the start of last season was fine, so there's no comparison at all.

Also for all Browns so called contacts , it was Tilly who signed some real quality and for far less than Brown wants to spend. Also Tilson won the league 1 title with a team Brown probably would have got relegated.

Browns football is dull and uninspiring and Tilly's was a well drilled and entertaining outfit.

I don't fully agree with what you've said about brown would get that team relegated... But he does seem to take players attacking creativity out of them. Limits players to what they can do instead of letting them create and play exciting football like Tillys teams did.

This ^ team spirit plays a huge part in what a team can achieve, of which we don't seem to have any at the moment.

I wouldn't say it's comparative, however, I do think the lack of a really good assistant manager makes a big difference on whether your successful or not. All the money wasted on trips to Spain and things alike, could have maybe been spent on wages for a good number two. I really think we've been missing a number two for a while now.

Absolutely, we've got better players than those three this season, the difference is they're all performing below their best Right now.

I'd agree that Ron's (alleged) non playing of wages hampered Tilly in that last season. However even then I had hope that we'd pick up results, at least at home there were a few draws. Now I'm going to games expecting to lose every time :sad:. The fact that Brown is currently performing worse than a hamstrung Tilson says it all for me.

Even a 22-year-old Eastwood would struggle to score double figures in this team.
