Brown ballsing it up again?

Germany's govt are playing the same political game that ours are- except that they have far higher structural debt levels than us and a much less flexible labour/welfare market. if you can't afford a fiscal stimulus, it makes sense to suggest it's a crap idea. Ultimately, we won't know until about 2010.

German Finance Minister calls Brown's measures "crass" and "breathtaking"

The German Minister's comments seem to be rooted in common sense. Since Gordon Brown was the chief architect of our failed economic strategies in the past 11 years, is he the right man to try and fix it?

I think Gordon Brown is quite possibly the only man to sort out our economic problems. After all, who else will know where those billions of off-balance sheet liabilities he has burdened us with are hidden.
