Played this through at work tonight, and it is brilliant. Laughs all the way through, and more cringe-worthy moments than Borat. Nice and short too, at 86 ish minutes in duration, so it doesn't drag at all.

One prize moment was Bruno telling a terrorist leader in the Middle East that his 'King Osama' looks like a dirty wizard and a homeless Santa Claus. As you can imagine, this didn't go down too well :D

Go see it people!

Thanks for the recommendation Ant, but can't stand SBC or any of his alter egos so I'll be giving it a miss.

Watched it last night.

Very funny in places, verging on pornography in others. SBCs mocking the ignorant schtick is starting to wear a bit thin now.

Indeed. Very funny at times. But nothing new (or better) since borat

Cannot stand SBC, Ali G, Borat or any of the other unfunny **** he has put out so there is as much chance of me going to see it as there is of SUFC winning the FA Cup this year.

Saw this last night! Was in fits of laughter and my sides hurt today. A definate must see, and I am very close to saying its funnier than Borat. Very similar plot to Borat but funny none the less.

I'm with the anti SBC camp, as ever with humour it's purely subjective.:)

Whilst I agree with you, people are so quick to jump on Baran Cohen purely because of his crude and crass nature, which is part of the invention of his character.

What you people can't deny, is that the man is genius in using his character to show the idiocy and judgement of the national public as soon as they're put in front of someone with views outside of the norm.

I didn't offer anything in the way of criticism, and I actually agree that he has a "genius" for showing up bigotry & stupidity, while always trying to shock his audience.

my main gripe was that the formula just hadn't really moved on from Borat... yes it was very funny in places, but instead of really pushing a number of areas (like the bit in the middle-east was literally unbelievable... however it was only 5 minutes long... and the fashion industry bit was also very brief) he then went back to his tried and tested formula of redneck america and celebrities. All the celeb moments looked really staged... the downside of his success I supposed... so why didn't he steer clear of it and do something really shocking, like taking him to China or Japan or Wales?

Also, in some ways Borat was quite a lovable character, but Bruno is just a loser. You also felt a bit sorry for Borats assistant, whereas Bruno's was underdeveloped.

Those are my main problems, it's still very funny, quite shocking in places, but a little bit frustrating because it could have been even better

I don't get what people find funny about sex? It was like that in Borat where he ends up having misfourtunate intercourse with his assistant, everyone around me was laughing but i wasn't. I was cringing. Some of it is funny but the majority are just poor jokes that are sexually orientated.

I didn't deny it - I said he was/is a genius!

Saw it last night. There were a couple of laugh out loud moments, but some of the slapstick was no better than Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em.

All credit to SBC for going as far as he does, but he appears to be running out of steam and i didn't think this was a patch on Borat.

6/10
