Have a guess....
I'm in 5th playing the side in 7th, still looking to finish in the top 4, but it's going to be struggle, although the side in 4th plays the leaders this week, before we meet each other in a Xmas Day showdown. Oppo is struggling PFl wise, so hopefully we can wrap up a maximum points win. Evelyn, Scheoman and Middleton miss out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB picks a full strength side against the leaders to try and help Kev out. Eagles plays despite only being at Invigorated, while Mohammed and York are only Energetic. Oppo has no PFL probs, but still has an outside chance of promotion in OD as well, and with a big game on Friday, there's a chance he might rest a couple.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Hoggard's Heroes

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Cricket Geniuses v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that Cricket Geniuses won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

Rested Cooky today, probably my second hardest FC match of the season, they have a 115k monster batsman but luckily Suthers has done the business:

End of Over 5 (1 runs). Jock Saltires: 17-1, runrate=3.40
Sutherland 3-0-12-1
Mulligan* 3 (8 balls)
Ockert 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Kempson c & b. Sutherland 13 (FOW: 17/1)

4.6 W Sutherland to Kempson
He's gone! Brilliantly bowled slower delivery completely deceived the batsman and he lobbed back a tame return catch to Sutherland.

Early wicket for my boys

End of Over 10 (4 runs). Hoggard's Heroes: 23-1, runrate=2.30
Prasad 5-0-13-0
Hunter* 7 (24 balls)
Poole 14 (31 balls)

Last Wicket: Symon c. Raziuddin b. Curle 1 (FOW: 7/1)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Early wicket for Mrs BB too

End of Over 10 (Maiden). Cricket Geniuses: 15-1, runrate=1.50
Bowler 5-3-7-1
Blakeman* 8 (26 balls)
Hoult 2 (20 balls)

Last Wicket: Allardyce c. Higgs b. Bowler 5 (FOW: 5/1)

Kev, Mrs BB's oppo looks at full strength, so she'll do well to win it.

Taken another wicket, now got the spinners on

End of Over 22 (Maiden, 1b). Hoggard's Heroes: 60-2, runrate=2.73
Brinkhuys 1-1-0-0
Backley* 16 (33 balls)
Hunter 20 (58 balls)

Last Wicket: Poole c. Raziuddin b. Curle 19 (FOW: 40/2)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tight game for Mrs BB at the moment

Eagles 2-0-7-0

Hoult 20 (54 balls)

Last Wicket: Allardyce c. Higgs b. Bowler 5 (FOW: 5/1)

For the second week running we are allowing the opposition runs - despite my skipper seemingly intent on bowling Suthers forever! Doesn't bode well for next weeks winner takes all match against Potato Heads.

End of Over 29 (1 runs). Jock Saltires: 72-2, runrate=2.48
Sutherland 15-2-35-1
Ockert* 23 (69 balls)

A turgid last half of the morning as Des and Brinky sent down 16 overs for just 24 runs

End of Over 35 (1 runs). Hoggard's Heroes: 87-2, runrate=2.49
Oconnor 9-3-12-0
Backley* 32 (68 balls)

Mrs BB has got rid of the best 2 bats, now just needs to work her way through the rest of them

York 9-0-33-1
Hume* 18 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Blakeman lbw b. York 45 (FOW: 81/2)

Blimey, a proper game for your guys. They've probably forgotten what to do, and that's why they're struggling :p

Good performance for once from my bowlers, and with the side in 4th getting tonked all round the park, it's been a good day so far.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 77 (Maiden). Hoggard's Heroes: 161-10, runrate=2.09
Prasad 13-2-38-2
Henderson* 0 (6 balls)

Mrs BB's captain seems to have forgotten that he is allowed to change the bowling. The current bowlers have been on for about 24 overs now without taking a wicket.

I love it when an opponent underestimates me. Playing 4th place team and he's thrown some reserves in while I've gone for 10 first teamers. They crawled along at a little over 2 an over and were all out for 177. i closed at 137 for 2. I need this over 3 days especially with record FC receipts. Will adjust declaration target and hope I can bat through to at least tea. Once I am six down the rest drop like flies. With next week's resident draw specialist getting tonked having finally logged in and played around 6th place, in a season I had written off, wouldn't be a bad return.
