Have a guess....
Though we should have a new thread for all transfer related posts, as I keep losing track within the various threads.

1st up - what should I expect to pay for this guy. £8.5m ?

Lewis Lea (932560)

RH Batsman, LFM Bowler, mediocre batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated fitness.
A defensive player with mediocre leadership skills and woeful experience.

Plays For: The Borg Collective
Nationality: New Zealand
Age: 21 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 43,916
Wages: £15,027 p/w

Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: superb Concentration: superb
Bowling: remarkable Consistency: proficient
Fielding: mediocre

Current bid is 6.4m

As a very rough rule of thumb, I'd say qualities are around £4m, remarkables around £6m, wonderfuls about £8m. His batting bumps it up, but you'd need to put him on 3 nets, meaning he'd be of limited use for a season or two and his consistency is a little bit too low for my liking.

How long is left for bidding?

2 days. I'm inclined to leave the Batting as it is, and just concentrate on the bowling. Curle's up for sale, so if anybody has a spare 6m they want to invest, then feel free.

The team top of my league has offered me the chance of 2:

Jimmy Featherstone - 21 yo, BT Rating=67,058
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, fresh fitness.
A defensive player with mediocre leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: sensational Consistency: exceptional
Fielding: respectable

Delroy Tynan - 22 yo, BT Rating=73,136
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, fresh fitness.
An attacking player with proficient leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: abysmal Concentration: woeful
Bowling: exquisite Consistency: exceptional
Fielding: feeble

I'm going to go for the first one, as he'll be in my price range I hope. 10.6million should do it?

YB paid 10.2 (?) for his double Exceptional, so you should be OK as the Stamina needs a bit of work.

I'd definitely go for the first one. More stamina, lower wages, less of a gap between bowling and consistency, plus you get some bonus batting.

Pretty pleased, or should that be relieved, about that!

Current Balance: £-3,086,641

What's the minimum level of WK you'd go for? I'd like to sell Askew to get a specialist batsman but Lamey is only just about to hit proficient.

Any thoughts on what Askew would go for?

Carlos Askew - 23 yo, BT Rating=48,137
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, proficient batting form, superb bowling form, energetic fitness.
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and mediocre experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: quality
Batting: proficient Concentration: exceptional
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: competent
Fielding: feeble

I'm not too fussed on the fielding/keeping side of things, but I was lucky in that I started off with a strong keeper. I didn't train him and he still sufficed for my first 5 seasons.

A proficient would be a bit on the low side, but keepers train quickly. He'd overtake Askew in a season or two's time anyway.

I may have to wait a seaosn anyway, Lamey is only mediocre stamina so on his two nets he wouldn't be able to play two games a week. He'll be on stamina shortly so I reckon I'll start playing him next season when he's strong WK.

Are you expecting to be in a promotion battle next season?

If not, you might want to play Lamey anyway, to build up his experience.

The manager won't sell me the first one for that price, and has listed the other player instead. Back to square one.
