I was just battling that very obstacle. Even though I wished someone would feel my pain, not at one point while being crushed, did I even contemplate starting a thread on the zone about my ordeal! The zone is always full of surprises!

This. Couldn't get on a train at Upminster due to ****ers blocking the doorways despite plenty of room inside.
Got home half an hour later than usual in the end, so not too bad.

Got my usual train at Fenchurch St and got home 10 minutes late, certainly not as bad as I imagined.
Glad I chose not to swing over to Liverpool St straight from work, they had overhead issues I understand

Looked it up - lost all signalling power between Fenchurch St & East Ham, and spookily if this was 1994 I would have been part of the team that would have been sent out to fix it, so @essexshrimper I would have saved your arse and got you home in time for the GBBO.
