Book a hotel/Cottage/Cabin/Boat instead Cyril. You wont be disappointed.

There's a Go Outdoors in Pitsea, I'm sure they'll have a resident expert who can advise. They also have a lot of tents already pitched so you should be able to get a good idea of how much space you going to want to have.

Love camping, am doing so right now.

As said above go outdoors is a good place to start. Their hi gear range is very reasonable.

If 4 people are going to be sleeping in it then buy an 8 man tent. Always double up.

Indeed, especially if you have any clobber with you!

Is there still the big Camping & General on Canvey? used to love that place when i was young (C&G, not Canvey!)
