I don't think I've ever stumbled across this forum before, but I see that on various threads on reputation, DWB and Barna are at it again...

so, please can someone tell me... what is grey rep and what is the point of it?

If you are in negative rep and try to rep another member whether it be positive or negative it will show as Grey and not effect the other persons rep points.

Ok Cheers guys, but why would it be necessary to stop people with negative rep giving rep to others themselves? I don't see the point.

It's just the way it is set up within the system of the vB forums..It does not stop people with neg rep posting their thoughts on anothers rep,but whilst in Grey themselves, it just does not take away or add any points to the other person.
