Maybe just maybe your god wants you to walk more after all he does move in mysterious ways.

Is the the only response you have to any post I make? I'm sure you're a decent enough chap but it does get a little tiresome and dull. I think we get the fact that I have a faith and you think it's daft.

Cheers Andy but in the overall picture of all things it is only a car,if some one want to steal it they will its human nature, sorry for your loss.

We didn't have a car stolen but it was damaged with paint stripper. Our neighbour found the paint can they used with fingerprints I assume and we told the Police we had it but they didn't care.

Van over the road was stolen. Police didn't care.

I work for the Police Rota Garage covering Brentwood, Basildon and Southend and we have around 40-50 vehicles on site that have been brought in for forensic examination after being found by the Police after being stolen. So they must care enough to find that many in the last month.

Anything decent?
I am genuinely interested to see what sort of motors are being pinched these days.

Ford Capri's, MG Metro's, Rover 216i's and Vauxhall Cavaliers. All desirable cars for the top class car thiefs out there.

I was under the impression that modern cars are actually very hard to steal.

Maybe I am wrong.

You are. Modern cars are as easy to get into and started [with the right equipment] as older stuff used to be. I can get into most pre-2000 cars in under 2 minutes and with the right kit [that I could get legally but wont] I could be away down the road in under 3 minutes with almost anything on the road.

Doesn't that make them 50% harder to steal?

:winking:

That is quite worrying.

I might take the Vanden Plas badge off my motor to make it less desirable to professional car thieves.
