Give Yearwood a go. Lennie as the holding CM and Yearwood the attacking one. He's good enough so he's old enough. PB needs to be brave and use him

He showed promise against Newport with some nice touches. He was also naive at times and tried too much when a simple pass would do.

Jack Payne was eased nicely into the team making most of his early appearances from the bench and I would suggest the same for Yearwood. It is far too early for him to be starting, especially off the back of a 5-0 defeat.

Lenny was the issue in midfield yesterday.
He was woeful and his inabilty to find a pass put the pressure straight back on the midfield.
Timlin was trying to cover as well as create and failed to do either effectively

Rigsby will love this, a review from someone not at the game.

We were **** all over, end of.

Indeed Lenny, those that were there could see it that if we had swapped Timlin for Zidane we would have still lost. Trying to fit up the latest player someone doesn't happen to like with the scapegoat jacket is ridiculous.

By the way If you go on You tube they show MAF's miss at the end after some good work by Robinson. I know you didn't see that Lenny because I saw you sneaking out much earlier.

The reason we haven't signed another CM is because we could not be sure about Lenny. Not the Lenny who sneaks out early at Rotherham but the one who could still go and play for Sheffield United.

Hmm, he didn't pull up trees against Newport..... That kind of gamble could spectacularly backfire. He's one to bring into the action when we have a 2 goal cushion and about 10-15 mins to go.....small steps.

So which of our players did ?. We will be seeing more of Yearwood and not just when we have a 2-0 lead in the last 15.

Not pointing the finger at you superblue but some of the reaction to a 17 year old's debut was very poor. Some of our fans have proved over the decades they don't wan to give any young lad a chance to learn. Then they scream blue murder when they prove themselves else where.

He isn't good enough at the moment. Simple as that. He had a chance to pick the Newport game up by the scruff of the neck operating in a very influential position on the field and he didn't. He might come good (and I hope he does), but the reality is that we need to bolster the middle of the park with a couple of experienced midfielders (CH preferably) and have Timlin as a useful sub and Lenny needs to be sold to benefit both parties.

Its not down to a 17 year old on debut to have to grab the game by the scruff of the neck in order to make up for the failings of his own team around him. Especially when he is playing with alongside Lenny. You do remember him don't you.....POTY 2 years running.....F*** off Sheffield he's worth more than £1m....He's to professional to let us down...that Lenny.

That's the trouble with some fans. Moan about Anton or Turner being to old but slag off a 17 year old after his first game.

17 days left to give unhappy Lenny the move he deserves and buy at least 2 very good players to bolster the CM .

We have been so over reliant on Lenny for the past 3 years that now he's not happy , therefore not at his best , of course its upsetting the whole place. We need to give Yearwood games. Alongside Timlin.

I don't have a problem with age, if you're good enough, you're good enough regardless of age.

Sorry, but how else does a young midfielder "burst onto the scene" if not by bossing the midfield against a side in the division below and who know nothing about him? By doing so he earns the right to keep his place in the side by showing ability beyond his years? This has happened with us over the years in the form of many previous youngsters, it is an obvious moment when it happens. PB certainly hasn't been convinced enough to give him even a substitute performance in the past two games, but has given him a 4 year contract. This indicates to me that he will have a season in the JPT perhaps being brought on in the closing stages of some league games, but that this season might be too soon. This doesn't help us for this year.

RE: Lenny, yes he has given his all for the club but he doesn't want to be here anymore, so who is benefiting by keeping him here? We'll lose him for nowt next season by doing so.

This leaves us with the no longer effective Timlin, the injury prone Wordsworth, the disinterested Lenny and an under-cooked youngster making up the midfield numbers in the midfield.... We'll not match or better last season if we do not bring in 2 (or at least 1) experienced CMs.

So it's all Lennys fault that Yearwood played more passes to the opposite team than Lenny did the whole previous season in one game! Some fans aye
