The following article on the OS shows who's in and who's out at our divisional rivals...

Championship Transfer Update

And the main story is... that no one else has signed anyone either!

tounge.gif

Sub-stories... I see that Ipswich have released Gerard Nash. Wonder if Tilly & Brush like enough of what they've seen so far to offer him something.

What else? I note with sadness that Aki Riihilati, he of the fantastic personal blog - Aki Riihilaati.com - has been released by Palace; that Barry Conlon has headed back to Darlo, that Margetson has been released by Cardiff (maybe he wants to head back here?!) and that quite a few "big names" (Anderton, Melchiot, Sutton to name a few) have been released.

It looks like that particular page will be updated fairly frequently, so one to keep an eye on I guess.

Unless the new Palace manager sees a certain Mr Eastwood as Johnson's replacement with hard cash burning a hole in his pocket

Our Squad page, which is bang up to date (Carl has been Culled) still lists Nash as on loan.

Not according to the Football Anglia message board.
Worthington reckons he's not what they're after plus they cannot match his stupid wage demands.

I honestly thought Sutton would now be at the point of his career where he put football over cash.

And their chairman's a git.
I like Jordan - not afraid to say it how it is.

BTW, Spud rumoured to go to Palace, to the Freddy rumour might have legs...

There's always someone stupid enough to match those wage demands unfortunately - hmmn where are Graeme Sourness & Kevin Keegan these days??

They're having a reminisce about their curly 70s perms last I heard

Mixed opinions after today.

Initially thought a lot of him for going on SSN and doing a live interview about something where he could quite easily have put his foot in his mouth. Stuck to his guns admirably.

Still, who issues a writ to someone when they are being appointed in a new job and holding a press conference.

Or, depending on your standpoint, he's a complete stroker with a limitless sense of his own importance, self-worth and ego.

He may have garnered a few fans by painting David Gold as a nasty ex-pornographer... but if that isn't shooting fish in a barrel, I don't know what is.

Trying to upstage Charlton's press-conference bears all the hallmarks of a play-ground bully... it's something straight out of Dream Team / Footballers' Wives.

I'm really glad he isn't our chairman, that's for sure.

But Dowie said he was leaving Palace because his family are in the North! I think Jordan is well within his rights to have a pop.

Oh, and Jordan also castigates agents as well which makes him OK in my book, something very few chairmen are brave enough to do.

Yes I'm glad the multimillionaire isnt our chairman

Glad too see Derby have released possibly the worst professional ever to grace the Hall (Pablo Mills).

He must be the worst and the dirtiest player I have ever had the misfortune to witness - Give ot take the Salli bloke at Kidderminster a few years back.

My next door neighbour Palace fan wants Freddy, and says hes not the only Palace fan who does.

I frequently tell him to f%&k off where Freddy is concerned however

Oh, agreed completely that he's entitled to have a pop... although how many of us have told a slight porkie when we're handing in our notice...?

However, there are ways and ways of seeking redress.  Trying to gate-crash the Addicks' press-conference bears all the class of a Don King-orchestrated pre-fight rumble.  It's all a bit pathetic, really.  I'm with those who think that revenge is a dish best served cold, to be honest...

I'd agree with that... to a point.  However, clubs screwed players for decades; that agents (on behalf of players) are now screwing clubs is only the swing of the pendulum, it would seem to me.

Hmm... he may be rich but (a) he's still a stroker; and (b) I'd rather SUFC were run as a viable business - one that in the final eventuality could be bought by the fans - than for the club to find itself permanently in the thrall of some moneyed spoilt brat.
