I went to Chelsea John's funeral yesterday. He was AKA John the post. He occasionally came to Roots Hall, but as the name suggests, was a Chelsea fanatic for about 60 years. He was a well known face and character about town, and especially down the seafront, and seafront pubs. Some of you will know him and may have even been at the funeral. It was a really good turnout at the funeral and at the wake at The Borough on the seafront. He was one of those with a big heart, and a real good bloke. He will definitely be missed.
