Anyone getting on this ? I bet you are (geddit) I don't have much luck on the GG's but do love Cheltenham. This year I'm backing rides with Barry Geraghty and Ruby Walsh. If anyone would like to share their pearls of wisdom then please do.

Not attending this year, but will of course be watching every race and punting on most of them. I have a few cheeky little ante-post bets in my portfolio, so expect all of these horses to get injured in the next week or so.

Champion Hurdle - Hurricane Fly @11/2 e/w (backed him in December)
Champion Chase - Sanctuaire @ 20/1 e/w
Champion Chase - Wishfull Thinking @20/1 e/w

The latter two are highly unlikely to win given that is Sprinter Sacre's race, but at the time I placed the bet the e/w terms were 1/4 the first three and it's very possible that come the day there will only be five or six runners in the race, so I've nicked a bit of value.

Got tickets for Gold Cup day!!

Enjoy! I've done Gold Cup day twice and to be honest it is ****ing mental. To be honest, I'm not sure I'd go again as it's just too busy, but I hear they have deliberately sold 5,000 fewer tickets this year, so that should give you a little more breathing space. The buzz as the Gold Cup runners come up that hill is wonderful.

The only tip I've received from my trip to Ireland this week was Swing Bowler at 14/1 on the Friday.

If anyone knows of who may want these tickets please pass on my details I would take £150 for the pair which is less than face value

Champion Chase - Wishfull Thinking @20/1 e/w

That f*cking horse... I'm a massive fan and it's won me big money in the past, but it isn't half exasperating. If it weren't for the wind operations it would've won something big (I backed it quite heavily for the King George a few years back after it won at Cheltenham). Jumps like a stallion, has pace to burn in the final stretch (as it showed the other week when it cut down the leading two after clearing the final fence) and is comfortable in heavy ground. Forecast is a bit choppy for the days leading up to the festival, so conditions might favour Wishfull too.

Now watch it collide into the barriers like last year

One for each day (fill your boots:angel:)

Tuesday: David Nicholson Novice Hurdle - Kentford Grey Lady (e/w)
Wednesday: Champion Bumper - Village Vic
Thursday: Foxhunter Chase - Hoopy
Friday: Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle - At Fishers Cross (nap)

Got stuck into the NRNB antepost yesterday. Main bet + cheeky punt ()

Supreme novices - Jezki (champange fever)
Gold cup - Long run (cape tribulation or imperial commander)
Champion hurdle - grandouet
world hurdle - Quevega (bog warrior)
Ryan air - cue card (mali de bievre)
RSA - Dynaste (rocky creek)
Neptune - at fishers cross (melodic rendevouz)
Arkle - Simonsig (bally green)
champion chase - i'll bet without sprinter sacre or a forecast - wishful thinking
