According to reports in the US he has hung himself.

If true RIP, the hybrid theory album was and still is amazing. A lot of my teenage years were spent enjoying Linkin Park and their songs for the Transformer films were excellent. They were meant to be on a huge world tour.

Not a fan at all but that's shocking and sad news. Mental health issues don't care how rich, famous, successful you are. With Chris Cornell earlier this year, it's been a terrible year for rock.

They were close friends apparently.

He was close friends with Chris Cornell and sang Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah at his funeral.

Also it would've been Chris Cornell's birthday today.
