As others have already posted,it's still do-able.Sure the team don't look like we can defend a wendy house or fight their way out of a paper bag,but hey 3 games to go and it's still on.All season results have been strange and you'll get more luck with the lottery than trying to predict results. From top to bottom they've all dropped points they shouldn't have.Take Burnley,no wins in 18 then they go and thump someone by 5 goals was it?So whose to know.
If someone came up to you in December and said with three games to go Southend would be 3 points away from safety and weren't bottom youd've wet yer S.U.F.C. pyjamas. Yes,we're a ****y little club without an 'apenny to rub together but this management of ours are lucky sods and i think a few of us have forgot this.We need to remember where we were just 3 seasons ago.
We all agreed at the start of the season that it would be bloody hard to stay up.Of course we were gonna take a few hammerings,we've jumped 2 divs in succession and we were staring at the Conference back then, not even near the top of L2 when T+B took over.In L2 we were lucky to go up via the play-offs.Even luckier to win L1 with all our rivals dropping like stones around us as we stuttered to the end.Come on,we were'nt exactly world-beaters were we?
So,looking ahead guys, the team need to have that unconditional love for this away game to Plymuff. If our fans in the stands can ruffle some feathers with some good old vocal support,we might shut the locals up and give our lads a chance to get the ball down and play.Win or draw down there and we press on for a must-have three points v Luton.............
.....................and as ex-Stockport manager Dave Jones once said "We're going to get the lads to come in a little earlier for home games and take them for a coach ride for an hour to get them thinking it's an away game"
