Yep, doesn’t excuse her behaviour but the umpire clearly got it all wrong and the second time it’s happened to her in France who don’t use technical aids.

Honestly the behaviour of the other 2 American women was far worse, Gauff lost her head for a bit (for no reason as replays showed) but afterwards was gracious in defeat. Danielle Collins and Emma Navario on the other hand decided to throw their toys out of the pram and spent their post match interviews slagging off the people that beat them.
