I have just been to the ticket office, i thought the wording on the OS was a bit vague about the whole process so i hope this may be a little clearer.
In the ticket office is a large cardboard box, containing the applications already received. Mine went to the bottom of the pile. As the club receive more applications they too will go to the bottom of the pile. They anticipate they'll receive the tickets themselves next week and on Feb 1st they will start issueing tickets from the top of the pile, where possible i'd say get down there this week in person to hand in an application rather than hoping the post gets there though obviously easier said than done for most people.
I don't wish to sound smug but cos i got down there early its 99% certain that i will get all the tickets i need for my motley bunch and i !!!
As the applications drop in over the next few days

Not sure if you will get multiple tickets as it states on the OS one ticket per application/STH.

One Ticket per Season Ticket, though you can apply for more than 1 ticket per application. Dropping my Application down there this evening...

I've just read what i posted earlier... and i do apologize as its such a mess !!!!
One ticket per Season, so i put 8 season ticket numbers down to receive 8 tickets (fingers crossed)
I'd say there was about 20 or 30 applications there already.

That's what you think! When the secure cardboard box gets knocked over at its fullest around 31st Jan, they will just scoop the applications up and deal with them in any order.

I think they mean postal applications so people don't just phone/e-mail their numbers in, but there is nothing to stop people 'posting' a letter by hand like i did.
I reckon there were only a few applications as people were maybe confused as to the actual process they are trying to operate, and as for the box getting knocked over ?? I SINCERELY HOPE NOT

I hand delivered mine as I didn't fancy sending a blank cheque thro the postal system.

I put mine in a nice pretty envelope with "The ticket office staff are wonderful" written all over it.

Why do they have to make it so damn complicated?
In the post last night. Should be there tomorrow. It said "postal applications only" so why are people being allowed to hand deliver them?

How could you have put it in the post last night when details were only announced today?
