With the offering from Pfizer/BioNTech now available for use and with two more vaccines currently being tested it looks like we will in a position to get a jab or two early in the new year or during the Spring. It's voluntary so will you be getting done?

I shall, I'm approaching "vulnerable" age - 65 in March. Plus I don't want to rick Covid and "ordinary" flu at the same time. I doubt that would be a good combination somehow.

Due to my youthful age and excellent health, I have low risk of mortality and of developing long-COVID. Even if I had absolutely zero risk, I'd still be keen to get this vaccine to minimise my chance of being a transmitter of the virus and avoid anyone else who can't or hasn't been vaccinated from developing COVID-19.

People are selfish, but we do need to get the message across that being vaccinated is about more than just you. We can help save lives by all doing our part.

Don't be a ****, basically.

Oh absolutely I will be and if I can I will be first in line.

I am hoping that I will be lucky enough to one of the first vaccinated as I shall be administering this vaccine to all when it becomes available (although we have almost finalised the plans now).

Without doubt and should get contacted as part of the first round of vaccinations which is a small benefit of being old enough to remember enjoying watching Billy Best and Gary Moore up front back in the day when going to Roots Hall was a pleasure not a habit.

I will as soon as I can, whenever that is. I work in dentistry so not sure when it will be available for us.

I’m sceptical, but I’m in the bracket where I’m not going to be given it straight away. I then have plenty of time to see how everyone else gets on with it. I’m not fully against it, but if I can avoid having a jab (never been a fan) then I’ll take that option.

I'm in my mid 20s so I suspect it will be months before I'm eligible but I'd be happy to take it once it's available. People keep going on about us not knowing if side effects will appear in a year's time but has there been any vaccine in history where everyone's seemed fine until months after taking it?

Nothing conclusive recently looking at this
