Last season Swansea averaged about 8K at the Vetch. Now they've nearly doubled it.

Certainly if we can provide a stadium to be proud of then we should increase the crowds significantly.

Very good article in the programme by RM about the stadium. Reading between the lines don't expect an application any time soon as he wants to make sure everything is right. He is not going to construct a "box" and acoustic engineers will be employed. Hopefully to amplify the home crowd noise and soundproof the away lot!

I personaly don't think that soundproofing the away end would be a good idea. you need banter between sets of fans songs being exchanged with witty comebacks etc... that promotes an atmosphere! we just have to make sure we sing louder!

Glad to hear that he is taking his time and making sure the acoustics are right, I think that is the most important thing for a new Stadium. Numbers of loos, quality of catering outlets, etc, etc, are all very well but if you end up with something like the Kassam, you won't be needing many loos or good catering.
