It's the Third Round of the cup draw today and just to make sure that everyone is clear these are the rules:
Three points for every correct score, 1 point for every correct result.
Wildcard doubles the score for the selected fixture.
The correct Southend first scorer also counts in the cup either 3, 2, or 1 point as previously defined, (the use of the wildcard has no influence on the scorer)
6 points extra if all six results are correctly predicted, 5 points if five results correctly predicted, nothing for 4 or less.
If someone fails to score they will still go through if their oppoenent fails to predict. If both fail to predict it goes to replay, if still they fail to predict they both go out and their will be a "bye" in the next round draw.
In the event of a draw then a replay will take place (the 3rd round will be Easter Monday).
In the event of a draw in the replay, it then goes into a sort of penalty shoot out, whereby the higher scorer from the first fixture on the list goes through, if needed then we go onto to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th fixtures, if still no result I give up and this job is vacant!!
