Plums signs off his SZCC career with 6-22 and 29no.

And that's the end of the match. ShrimperZone CC won by 10 wickets.
Helston XI 66-10
ShrimperZone CC 68-0

Pretty similar to B.

Bowled oppo AO for 83 and won by 9 wickets after just 12 overs! All on a TIE!

I didn't fancy my chances today so rested my players. Focus very much on the leagues and making sure I'm geared up for the key games.

Hurrah! At last a home game and about the same quality (if not worse) than today's team. Passage to Round 4 looking pretty certain. Lovely jubbly!!

Very happy with today's win. I was out all day so had no idea of the scores. Tough looking opponents (again) away from home in round 3. We've caused two 'upsets' what odds the chance of a third?

Swayne 78, Last 48, Bob Birkett 82* and Cptn Williams 65* giving me 283-2. Two wickets each for Sharma, Brook, Williams and Shashidhar, Erasmus with the other.

I messed up in my game - saw the oppo had turned bot and set a reserve line up - only to notice half way through the game that they hadnt been flushed and still had much better players than me.
Oh well - guess i'll have to win it next year

Lost as expected. Annoyingly, I forgot to set orders, as I had just come back from Moscow, so I wonder what if I had put my proper bowlers in?

Always nice when your oppo throws the game:

End of Over 32: 265-2, runrate=8.28
Estabrook 6-0-54-1
Mcleod* 18 (14 balls)
Lamey 74 (60 balls)
Last Wicket: Cunningham lbw b. Estabrook 117 (FOW: 227/2)

Playing full team but on TIE. Batting first on a flat wicket, got a very defendable score.

End of Over 50: 294-5, runrate=5.88
Quinnan 10-0-55-1
Rennie* 22 (17 balls)
Healy 119 (121 balls)
Last Wicket: Stearman lbw b. Martyn 65 (FOW: 258/5)

expected to get knocked out here today but it's turned into a bit of a humdinger... need 13 from the last over to win...

End of Over 49: 283-5, runrate=5.78, reqrunrate=13.00 (295-3)
Jack 10-0-80-1
Barnes* 82 (69 balls)
Wheat 15 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Thornley b. Mohammed 1 (FOW: 266/5)
48.6 4 Jack to Wheat
Back of a length delivery, with extravagant movement for Jack. Wheat is cut in half as he looks to defend, but the inside-edge races past the keeper for four.
48.5 4 Jack to Wheat
Jack bustles in, full of aggression and intent. Wheat strokes the ball beautifully straight back past the bowler, whose shoulders drop in disappointment.
48.4 4 Jack to Wheat
Straighter delivery, flicked away off the pads away through fine leg. Four runs to Wheat.
48.3 1 Jack to Barnes
Barnes has been working on his footwork, and it has clearly paid off as he got into position early to nurdle the ball to fine leg for one.
48.2 3 Jack to Wheat
Lofted cover drive by Wheat. Ohhh, it's stopped like a pitching wedge short of the boundary. Wheat will turn for a third as Frans fields the ball. Great throw! Shanks receives the ball directly over the bails. Good cricket all round.
48.1 1 Jack to Barnes
It looked like two runs after a great cover drive by Barnes. However, excellent fielding by Nagamootoo restricts them to one.

End of Over 48: 266-5, runrate=5.54, reqrunrate=15.00 (295-3)
Mohammed 9-0-51-2
Barnes* 80 (67 balls)

couldn't do it.. cracking performance though and a great cameo from Wheat at the end. perhaps if i hadn't rested the 3 on energetic, but ho hum.

And that's the end of the match. Chris Cavemen won by 3 runs.
Chris Cavemen 295-3
Pettefershire CCC 292-5

End of Over 50: 292-5, runrate=5.84
Mohammed 10-0-60-2
Barnes* 85 (72 balls)
Wheat 21 (7 balls)
