Man in charge of tomorrow's difficult encounter (Mr Sturrock's words, not mine) is scheduled to be rookie first year referee Lee Collins from Surrey. He is being fast tracked through the system and has risen to the level of League referee remarkably quickly.
Or will it be ? He limped off half way through a game at Yeovil nearly 4 weeks ago and hasn't done a match since. His appointment last week at Bournemouth was taken by Dave Phillips, fresh from his redcardfest at Oxford.
If it is Lee Collins, it will be his 10th match as a League referee. The previous 9 have accrued 26 yellow cards (average) and 5 red cards (way above average).
Assistants will be John Farries from Oxford and Richard Kendall from Luton, The fourth official is John Magill, a short, bald man from Colchester (so he really hasn't got much going for him at all).
