Who cares ! Ron listens to him! Look what's happened in the short time he's been involved! The club's moving in the right direction with Stan.
Lets see what happens on the pitch before everyone believes he is our saviour. Perhaps the 3 Muskateers will do a job? Who knows yet?

He is still there but after years of resisting he’s suddenly making all the changes that would make the club more attractive to potential buyers, right around the time he expects finally to get planning permission…
Not necessarily all the changes it now seems......

I bet your one of those that boo'ed Mark Gower and Simon Francis arent you?
Odd isn't it, 2 weeks ago we would all have considered this a sure stuffing for us under Mr Brown; now we seem to have a hope, chance of making a game of it and making some progress.
Glass half full or empty?

I believe Collymore is there for other reasons? He is there for his own gain for the future. Possibly buying the club with others if all goes well. I have my doubts about his total love for the club. Only played 19 games for the club and not even a Southend supporter if he is honest.
Have a read of the article I did in Nottingham with Chris Phillips in 2017.

We finished 7th in League one so the club on the pitch was in a stable position.

Either I'm an extremely clever liar, waiting for four full years for the arse to fall out of the club to pounce like Dick Dastardly, or I'm just telling the truth, as I've done on Shrimperzone since 2003, have said in countless media interviews over 30 years and have shown to be true in 2003 ( quoted in the article) that "I'm here always to help".

I don't expect to be universally liked, a good half dozen on here would rather their club go to the wall with a failing system rather than accept the possibility that I'm just offering a progressive and honest future, well thought out and accounted for.

But being questioned about my motives like some Scooby Doo villain with a wicked and devious plan is hilarious. Really it is.

I invite everyone to read this article from 4 years ago and just make your own mind up.

Dont lower yourself to it stan. Part of whats so appealing to most fans about your involvement is your willingness to help with no real guarantee of personal gain, a rare thing, and something normal people dont do unless they have an underlying love for something.

I think a legitimate question to be asked re possible Collymore appointment is will he be full time?. I ask this in view of his media commitments which presumably he will still fulfil.

First away game for me since Lincoln in August 2019 (I think).

I cannot wait.

COYB
If I remember correctly that was a defeat under the management of Mr Bond. I was there and it was a truly deflating experience. We looked disorganised and ended up well beaten. We were well on the way down that slippery slope which led to our consecutive relegations. Hope today sees the start of our renaissance under the new management team. COYB.

We are going to rise and roar Southend on to victory come in king kev and co

Stan, thank you so much for intervening about three weeks to help a fast-sinking Southend United by engaging with the club's owner, its supporters and providing the footballing know-how, professionalism and organisational skills that has facilitated the appointment of an outstanding management team. For the first time for years, many Southend supporters (and I am one of them) are now hopeful and excited about the team's prospects going forward, and you have played a huge part in making this possible. Please do not be discouraged by the odd criticism that surfaces on the Zone. It is not possible to please everyone, but it is clear that the overwhelming majority of Southend supporters greatly appreciate your efforts and hope that it will be possible for you to reach agreement with the CEO early next week so that you can help oversee what could be remarkable next chapter in the club's history.

Hoping for a good solid performance and an imporvement in attacking mindset.

Hope it's a good day out.
