If anyone else would like to submit a complaint on their "reporting" (let's get a few, just to make Tuesday back at work for the person who couldn't be bothered in the first place, a nightmare!) the link is here:

http://www.express.co.uk/contactform/corrections/

The information you will need is:

Article Headline: "Bentley's the hero"

Page number: 44

The complaint: inaccurate and pathetic reporting naming Myles Weston instead of Joe Piggott as our goalscorer.

If we could get a load of complaints in just to make a point it'd be great, not just on this issue, but their ongoing pathetic coverage of lower league football in general.

Shrimperzoners...Over to you

The coverage that lower leagues get is a joke,

we got about 20 seconds on BBC news this morning, and was tha last story... They did however show the SUFC early leavers running back up Wembley Way when we'd scored, which was quite funny !

FL show on tonight on BBC, hour long, shared with the L1 game, just hope we get our half hours worth...

I agree that the Express was pretty bad concerning facts, coverage etc. On the other hand The Mail on Sunday report was, in fact, pretty good, virtually a full page. Normally we only merit one maybe two lines from them. Sadly we are not alone in this, none of the lower league clubs get much. Fact of life, Prem and Championship games are the ones which get most press attention and reporting, probably because those games are the one that the sports editors reckon most of their readers want to see. Grossly unfair if you are an avid lower league supporter but we are an acquired taste at national level. Best accept that and move on because it will never change. There is always the Chris Phillips gazette.

Does make you wonder about their reporting in general. How accurate is it if they can get something as basic as getting a black guy mixed up with a white one.

The Sun gave Sam Saunders a 6 .... Hmmm (he wasn't even on for that long !)

As my father used to say: "you've just learned a valuable lesson in life son."

The Express is a worthless rag I'm afraid with often poisonous reporting, owned by a pornographer.

Apart from that it's OK.

The Daily Express really isn't a newspaper that is serious about fact. Every weather event is distorted beyond belief! I wouldn't waste your breath

this is where I say fair play to the BBC. they have really good coverage online of football all down the leagues that no-one else would touch.

for the commercial organisations they get more revenue from covering Liverpool's pre season friendly with some American nobodys than they do covering any lower league stuff so sadly that's what they report on

The Sun today in its back pages has a headline Southend 3-1 Stevenage above a report on a rugby match:sad:
