Dan Mooney Signs

Tbh some players this matters to- Mooney probably experienced our home and away support last season and is motivated by that.

Others will find a £ or to more far more motivated and happily play in front of two men and a dog.
I somehow doubt he was swayed by us taking 200 to Altrincham!

Love this bit:

"The club helped a lot with helping me find somewhere to live,” said Mooney.

“I’ve got an apartment in Southend and I’ve moved in quite quickly which is good."

So good to hear that we are actually looking after the players we bring in, long may it continue!

Absolutely, I remember having a conversation with Derek Spence after he had played a few games for us and that was one of the things he was pleased with, that the club had helped him speed things up and he had just moved into a place on the Rayleigh Rd, which he was happy with.

Ha ha! I know someone who lived next door to Dennis last season in his Southend United accommodation and the place was barely furnished with mattresses on the floor in the bedrooms! Think a couple of others stayed there as well.
