Dan Mooney Signs

Of course we’re much bigger, but if we had just finished mid table in league one and Sunderland finished one place above us then took our best player, I’m sure some of the same comments about it being a sideways move would pop up on here.

On current footballing merit it’s a sideways move, naturally we have more potential to improve in the next few seasons than they do due to the setup at the club, but football is played on the pitch.

I’m not surprised by their comments at all, it’s ours that show the misplaced ego.
Not at all! Sunderland are a much bigger club than us.

It doesn't matter who they sign for, certain fans at every club will find fault with the move. As well as the classic "side ways move".....With Bishop it was "must have a good agent"

When Dan Bentley signed for Brentford "Will only be warming the bench as not good enough for the Championship" etc.

It really doesn't matter what Altringham fans think does it? He's signed for us and we can judge him on how he performs for us. Simples. Not only that, we (SZ) have said similar things about our ex-players, sometimes through the hurt of them leaving us. And the receiving fans wouldn't give a toss what we think, would they? That's football supporters for you.

Tbh some players this matters to- Mooney probably experienced our home and away support last season and is motivated by that.

Others will find a £ or to more far more motivated and happily play in front of two men and a dog.

It’s the Mooney type we want
