I see Danny Blanchett played as a trialist for us Vs Thurrock according to the Echo:

How did he play? Is he worth another look, especially if we can't get Mulgrew in for whatever reason.

Am I right in saying, whilst at Cambridge City, he had a trial at Liverpool?

I felt he did very well at Thurrock, however & no offence here, we were playing a non league side.

He played ok against Thurrock. However we weren't really tested in this game. I would not think he would be a threat to Mulgrew should they sign though.

He looked ok going forward but got taken on and beaten by their winger/forward on the outside quite a few times, allowing them to get to the by-line and put in a cross.

Though he did ok, with more games to come and no sign of Charlie Mulgrew yet I'd play him against Fulham or Witham.
