All played for Chelmsford City last night against Conference South new boys Concord Rangers. Webb and Nicolau made up part of an unconvincing City back four whilst Paxman was a second half substitute for the clarets. City were lucky to get away with a point as Concord bossed a one sided second half creating the vast majority of the chances. Dean Holdsworth's got his work cut out here with this lot.

One time Southend youngster John Easterford got the equaliser for the Beachboys.
 
Is Craig Calver still at Chelmsford? Remember once there was a headline about Tilson saying he had the potential to play in the Premierleague.
 
Calver was last seen at Thurlow Nunn Div 1 side Saffron Walden FC.
 
think chelmsford are in for a hard season this year, alot weaker than last season, only a top 10 finish for them this year i think.
 
Chelmsford were lucky to get a point last night, Concord were all over them like a rash 2nd half. I felt sorry for Paxman, he was obviously the wrong substitute when they were under so much pressure, a more experienced player like Rainsford was the better substitution in the circumstances.
Cries of "sort it out Holdsworth" and "not good enough losing to Canvey Reserves" were to be heard at the end of the game.
Holdsworth is under pressure already.
 
Thought Nicolau was a cut above the rest of their team when we played them pre-season.

Wasn't it him that gave up professional football because he had a chance at a better career outside of football but still wanted to play semi pro.

Think that was Justin Hazell (or similar spelling) that did that? Remember he came on in a cup game in last few minutes.

Calver signed on for a couple of league clubs before dropping into non-league.

Ah yes of course is Hazell still playing?

Calver went to Yeovil for a bit.
