Hearing rumours that Prince Philip has died and it'll be announced later today, however I''m betting this is huge gonads.

Hearing rumours that Prince Philip has died and it'll be announced later today, however I''m betting this is huge gonads.

Protocol is that if a senior member of the Royal Family die, the household is recalled (to Buckingham Palace, I believe) and are told the news first. It is then announced at 8am in the morning.

There was a Prince Philip scare last year, but this was to announce his retirement rather than his death.

I read recently that if any senior royal dies of natural causes/ peaceful death that the protocol is for it to be announced by the BBC at 8am the next day. Seemed a bit odd to me

Didn't realise he was the first Cola advert man " Lipsmackingthirst ..." only a certain age group will remember that who charted in top 40 with the song as well

The sudden death of UK Snowboarder Ellie Soutter is a shocker. On her 18th birthday as well. I can't possibly begin to imagine the pain that her family are going through.

What was the cause of death? I couldn’t see it on any of the articles.
