Oh, The Magnificent Seven, Shane, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Wild Bunch...plus the "modern ones" The Assassination of Jesse James...., Unforgiven....there are gems out there amongst the stereotypical ****e.

Not really a cowboy film, but of my favourite all time films.

Having just checked his complete filmography I can say with confidence that I haven't either. I'd like to see Spartacus and The Fury, not interested in the rest. Dare I say it, it looks to me as though his legendary status is built upon just 2 or 3 films.

I think the same applies to most actors of that generation as they die and their films get shown on TV less often.
