DEADPOOL 2021

(On a personal note saw Phil & Don 50 years ago (in October) at Barbarella's nightclub in my first week in Brum.I was meant to be a "mature student" at the time after a gapyear on Eastern National Omnibus in SOS as a conductor and as such was rather the blue eyed boy at my landlady's. Until I also hitched up to Sheffied and back at the weekend to see Fulham play.Another 2am return rather soured things.Fortunately I found more suitable accomodation soon after). Anyway great concert!

Really sad news to wake up to this morning, so young! RIP Kyle

Realy sad news, he has got family in the area I live. I met Kyle about six years ago down my local and had a good chinwag with him.

I've grown old along with the Stones, from teenagers to old chaps, and Charlie has been there all the way. Funnily enough my favourite album featuring Charlie was with his jazz quintet, 'Log ago and Far away', terrific album and it will be playing in his honour tomorrow. RIP Charlie mate.

I nearly saw The Charlie Watts Big Band live here back in the 80's .Price of tickets rather put me off.Always regretted it.

Edit.He was also well known for browsing in the music shops in Carrrer de Tallers (top right off Las Ramblas) in Barcelona for jazz records every time the Stones were playing in Barna.

An odd one out in that he was married to the same woman throughout his time as part of the Stones. RIP Charlie.

Worked with Charlie and have many great memories of a very talented and lovely man. He drew a book of Charie Parker-the bird-but couldnt get it published, but later once he was a stone he had no trouble getting it published! Got a photo of Charlie and myself sitting on a wall in Paris-a cherished memory, more so today. Rest in peace mate.
