Of all the hundreds of people he interviewed the Beeb have the Beckhams at the top of their Parky report. They are dumbing down and heavily US influenced judging my some of the spelling, grammar and general outlook.

I can’t think of a modern day Parky. Am I being unfair (and please, please don’t give me those muppets of Alan Carr and Graham Norton. Neither are fit to tie his shoelaces).

No, we were saying the same last night - him, Wogan, Russell Harty - all had the ability to get the best out of their interview subjects by letting THEM talk. Though I was shocked to see the aggressive way he'd interviewed both a young Helen Mirren and Meg Ryan.
