How any Blues fan can enjoy the drive home when we've suffered a defeat that also ultimately ends our play-off chances is beyond me. Yes Tilly's a legend and I sincerely hope he is back on our bench someday but I was as desperate for a Southend win yesterday as I am at any other game. Gutted with the loss and the fact we'll be spending next season back in this awful league.

Totally agree but the starter of this thread appears to be getting off on winding up real Southend United fans by posting similar messages today.

there are some great pictures on the Lincoln website - I hope these links work - some things are more important than 3 points - great images of Sir Steve and Brushy - i I like the
of him aiming a few words at the directors box and the one of him getting mobbed by the players -

at the end of the game he was clearly quite upset ......

people going about the 3 points for SUFC and all that are really very very small minded - I have watched professional football for 45 years and spent thousand of pounds on it - Tilsons teams gave me the best ever moments in that time -

I don't give a to55 - enjoy

Just out of interest, and I assume you're a Southend fan, had it been the last game of the season and we needed three points to stay up/go up or get in the play offs would you still be happy and dismiss me as small minded?

Maybe you should support Lincoln City?

Well if that is your attitude, support Lincoln and not us. The journey home was awful, as is all journeys after a Southend defeat ........... You support the Club, whilst appreciating legends ..... your priority should always be 3 points for Southend !!

Ridiculous post and thread !

Well said Rayleigh boy... as i mentioned in a seperate thread the look on RMs face when Tilly turned round and celabrated right at him was well worth the 3 hour drive.... ONE STEVIE TILSON

He looked very uncomfortable for the full 90 mins... and yes when steve turned round and yelled "Get In"... he looked like he could cry....

What about the look on the faces of the gutted players at the end, people like Barker Sawyer etc, you know, the players in the Blue Shouthend shirts with the Southend Club badge on ???

There was me thinking that this was a Southend United Football CLub forum - how wrong can I be !!

So guys, did you cheer the winning goal by Grimes, the Lincoln player when he scored the winner ??

Ron killed that last July im afraid... it was a great finish... :hilarious:

I believe they did. Pathetic isn't it. And what's this about the coward RM not daring to show his face. We really do have some pathetic fans, we really do.

I was a huge fan of Steve Tilson and I hope that he does very well for Lincoln, indeed I wish him every success in the future - we all need to move on now.

I was gutted driving home - not just because we lost, but because we didn't really compete against an average L2 side. The lack of players in our squad is shocking - lack of quality on the bench and on the pitch is costing us any hopes we may have had this season (although I was one who would have been extremely happy with mid table mediocrity at the start of the season).

Again it comes down to the finances at this club and the mis-mangement of them. Not paying players and staff, giving the HMRC the run around again, the transfer embargo leading to the inability to strengthen is nothing short of disgraceful, having to send players out on loan as we cannot afford their contracts, not offering good enough contracts to the up and coming youngsters - that is what I am angry about. The inability of this club and the 'heads' of this club to sort out the finances of this club has lead us to where we are now - that's what the discussion should be about.

I am sure Tilly's 'sweet, sweet feeling' is throughly deserved and justified.

Sorry Rayleigh boy we lost yesterday a massive blow to our play off hopes.
While i accept Tilly&Brush were not treated fairly by certain people at sufc and he probably was ourbest manager i wanted 3 points against lincoln.
I also think we have to move on and support Paul Sturrock and this team,if I had gone to lincoln i would have been dissapointed to have lost and not enjoyed journey home

well said rayleigh boy, fantastic feeling inside, as martin seems to have escaped the wrath of our fans, for royally shafting everyone for the last 2 seasons, It takes one moment from sir steve and brushy to make it all worth while
