From teamtalk:

Southend manager Steve Tilson is boosted by the return of Darryl Flahavan and Lawrie Dudfield for of the trip to Sc**thorpe.

Goalkeeper Flahavan is available after serving a ban for the sending-off against Boston while Lawrie Dudfield could return after an absence of four games.

However, Mark Gower will miss out after picking up an ankle injury in the win over Swansea.

Tilson said: "We've just got to keep it going and hang in there.

"The league is even tighter than last year - win two and you're in the top three but lose two and you're in the bottom eight."

Quite a blow, Gowere being out. Any ideas on length of time he's out for? Has been in fantastic form lately and could do with him around and fit.

thats right isn't it? or that just the prem? and he has only been suspended one game?

Sorry to be a bore guys but a red card for violent conduct (stamping, punching, kicking or spitting) is an immediate 3 game ban. Flavs was guilty of deliberate handball, which carries only a one match ban. It goes down as a tactical offence, as it was to prevent a clear goalscoring opportunity....lesson over!
